I’ve been working in financial services for 30 years.
Initially for a number of insurance companies - most of which are no longer with us, which I don’t think was entirely my fault - before becoming an Independent Financial Adviser.

That was definitely a big step up as I was no longer restricted to the range offered by that particular company. But it was still all about selling a product in order to get paid.
About 15 years ago I came across the concept of Financial Planning, where the key idea was looking at the person in front of me as a whole, rather than just a collection of policies - life assurance, mortgage saving plan, pension and so on.
That realisation has developed over the years, so now I sometimes tell people I’m a financial planner who’s not much interested in money.
That doesn’t mean I don’t have a clearly thought out process for recommending products for my clients. I most certainly do, and this is kept under regular review to make sure its always up-to-date and appropriate for you.
But our work together is focussed entirely on helping you achieve all the things you want to.
That may mean all of us stepping out of our comfort zones, but I don’t want you to have regrets at the end of your lives.

The objective is to live richly, rather than just being rich. This also means using our investments and pensions as a force for the good of society and the planet. That may be through the charities we choose to support, or moving our money away from companies that are harmful to those which are seeking to make a positive difference in the world.
Despite - or maybe even because of - thirty years experience it’s vitally important for you to have confidence I am keeping my knowledge and skills up-to-date. I am a Chartered Financial Planner, Certified Financial Planner ™ and accredited by the Society of Later Life Advisers.
Nestbox is a small company with big plans for the future. There is no massive marketing budget, so the growth of the business depends entirely on existing clients remaining with us, and being confident and happy to recommend us to family and friends.

Having more than three years experience in financial services I am currently working towards the Diploma in Financial Planning.
Originally from Buckinghamshire, I now live in the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford, Lincolnshire, with my husband and our exuberant and very affectionate Cocker Spaniel called Brie, the two loves of my life. I enjoy travelling, whether that’s a mini city break, cruise, a sunny or snowy holiday, or a staycation, and I really love to cook! I recently went to Thailand on my honeymoon which has made me fall in love with Eastern culture and I am hoping to return in 2025 to visit more of the country.
A few things you may not know about me are…
I’m (unfortunately) gluten intolerant. I definitely miss good pasta and pastries!
My favourite food is Thai and Indian, and I’m very partial to a G&T or a glass of Cava or Champagne, but I do try to balance indulgence with long dog walks, the gym and exercise classes.
